How do I get charged for ProTips?
There are 3 charges with ProTips, these are listed as follows -
* A one-off joining fee of $5.00 per customer is charged upon subscription.
* $0.55 cents is billed per each Tip message delivered.
* $10.00 (in the form of 2 x $5.00 PSMS) is billed for each Winning Tip received.
Please Note:
- These prices are GST Inclusive.
- A Winning Tip means the horse must come 1st to be classified as a Winning Tip. A place (2nd or 3rd) finish is not classified as a Win and therefore not charged.

How does ProTips Work?
Our experts, some with over 25 years experience analyse the form of over 1M individual runners across all races in Australia.
ProTips uses our sophisticated ratings technology which automatically queries the TAB for dividends prior to each horse race Australia wide. ProTips sends out Horse Racing Tips on Saturday race days, when our rated winner is considered a value bet i.e. above our rated odds, the system will automatically send out a txt msg 20 minutes prior to official race starting time in the following format -
NEW PROTIP: [Location], Race [#], Horse [#] [Horse Name], Do not bet below odds [Rating]. To opt out text reply STOP
How many tips can I expect to get sent each saturday?
ProTips will typically send around 5 value tips for each saturday race day. This number may vary depending on the market conditions but as we are only sending value tips, the number of tips will only vary slightly.
What are the odds that are typically sent?
ProTips will not send any tips below $2.80, as we do not believe that odds below this represent any value. In the past we have tipped horses ranging from $2.80 to $88. Protips must see value in the tips in order for the tip to be sent.
The ProTips system checks against the NSW TAB odds 20 minutes prior to race start, this is ensure the odds are above 2.8 at the time the ProTips are sent. ProTips has no control over market fluctuations, in the event the odds drop below 2.8 during the 20 minutes prior to race start and if the selection wins you will be charged the $10.00 winning fee.
Do I have to subscribe every saturday?
No. You only need to subscribe to ProTips once. Unless you text 'STOP' to 1-999-TIPS, you will receive the tips every saturday until you stop your subscription. If you have stopped the service, you will then need to re-subscribe and will be charged the registration fee again.
How do I pay ProTips fees?
ProTips will automatically bill the mobile number which subscribed to the service. This will be billed directly to the current mobile phone bill of that number. All you need to do is pay your mobile bill as normal.
How do I subscribe to ProTips?
You subscribe to ProTips by sending a text message from your mobile / cell phone with the word "TIPS" to 1-999-TIPS or 1-999-8477
How do I unsubscribe to ProTips?
To unsubscribe from ProTips, simply send a text message (from the same mobile / cell phone that you subscribed with) the word "STOP" to 1-999-TIPS or 1-999-8477.
Once the text message is received you will be unsubscribe from all future text messages.
NOTE: Any winning tips (text messages) that you have been sent during the time you subscribed to the service will be charged as normal.
Can I use a Pre Paid Mobile Phone?
Yes you can, however if you are out of credit on your mobile phone bill, your service will be deactivated and you will need subscribe to ProTips again and pay the subscription fee of $6.80.
How do I contact ProTips?

How much money should I put on each Tip?
ProTips is not a gambling service. It provides a Subscription Service containing recommendations and tips for selected thoroughbred races in Australia which in ProTips opinion represent “value” wagers or bets, based on a bank structured to the needs of each individual subscriber.
However, ProTips is a strong supporter of responsible gambling, and believes that you will derive greater enjoyment from the Subscription Service if you set sensible limits to your banking structure to ensure that your gambling expenditure is kept to an amount you can afford.
How often are Tips sent out?
At this time, we only send selections for Saturday metropolitan meetings each weekend. ProTips does not try to pick a winner in every race, but tips the value bets, this means that some weeks there may be up to a dozen (12) or more tips, other weeks there may be just a few.
I received a Winning Tip but it arrived after the start of the race...
ProTips cannot and does not warrant, represent or guarantee that its recommendations will be delivered to your mobile telephone by SMS Text Message on a timely basis, as no telecommunications carrier or network provider in Australia guarantees SMS delivery.
You accept and agree that ProTips is not liable for any damage or loss suffered by you caused or occasioned by any interruption, delay in operation or transmission, virus, communications failure, mobile telephone access difficulties, your mobile telephone being switched off, or by any malfunction in equipment or software of any kind whatsoever.
You also accept and agree that you will pay all fees and charges for delivery of SMS Text Recommendations, notwithstanding that the Recommendations may not have been delivered to your mobile telephone on a timely basis for any reason whatsoever.
If I am subscribed and do not place a bet, do I still get charged?
The ProTips system will continue to send Tips if you are subscribed and Winning Tips will still be charged. We strongly recommend if you are not placing bets on a race day, to unsubscribe from ProTips. You may rejoin ProTips at any time or when you are next placing bets. (See FAQ on how to unsubscribe and subscribe)
Do you have testimonials from other satisfied subscribers?
Every month we do a survey of our ProTip users by randomly calling one or two of our current subscribers. We do not write testimonials on our web site, anyone can do that.
We ask our subscribers if we can provide them as a contact if required to provide a verbal testimonial to any potential new subscriber. Please submit a request on the Contact Us page if you want to speak to a real subscriber.
What is the procedure for dispute resolution?
You may dispute a charge made by ProTips to your mobile telephone account by making a request in good faith to ProTips to investigate a specific charge, providing with the request evidence demonstrating that that charge is incorrect.
The request must be made within 3 months after the charge has been included on your mobile telephone account. ProTips will conduct such investigations as are reasonably necessary to validate the charge or otherwise, and to the extent that it finds that the dispute is valid, refund or at its option provide a credit in the amount of the disputed charge.
