Sydney Swans v Melbourne Demons – 11th April 2019

Round 4 in the 2019 AFL season is set to be an thrilling one with some massive clashes on the cards throughout the week and weekend. The round gets underway on Thursday night as Sydney host Melbourne. Melbourne are yet to find a win.

Thursday 11th of April, 7.20pm AEST, SCG
Can Melbourne finally get their first win this season or will the Swans be able to knock up two wins in a row.

Sydney Swans

The Swans are currently 1 Win and 2 Losses in the 2019 footy year. The Swans will be looking to get their second win on Thursday night as they take on another bottom 4 look alike. After only just beating Carlton, who are a bottom 4 contender, should ring alarm bells in the minds of Swans fans. Can the lackluster midfield of the swans get it to their power forward in Buddy?

The Swans struggled in the first quarter against the Blues last week and should look to play a full four quarters to get another win on the board.

Look For: Isaac Heeney. With plenty of tall timber in the Dees defensive line, Heeney should have plenty of airstrip for a few spectacular hangers.

Melbourne Demons

The Dees are currently 0 Wins and 3 Losses in the 2019 footy year. The Dees have no doubt been the disappointment of the year so far. Some were tipping Melbourne to make the top 4, now those same people are questioning whether they will make the 8. Melbourne need to continue with their better week like last week against Essendon and get a win if they have any chance of making finals.

Melbourne have been scoring well in the first half for their first three games. Then falling off just after half time and then continuing their scoring come the final quarter. They won’t be able to win many games if they only play three quarters.

Look For: Angus Brayshaw. He has been in the top 3 players for the Dees in a losing side. Expect good things if he and Melbourne can put together a full game.

While Melbourne put some good effort in the first half and final quarter last week against Essendon, the Dees still don’t seem like a solid team just yet. I (Caleb) am tipping Sydney by 25.

Caleb’s Tip

Melbourne have lost every third quarter so far this year by more than a goal.

Toby’s Tip

Toby has entered two tips this week. They are both multi’s, high risk – high reward.

So what do you think will happen?
